I'm building some stand-alone (not networked) WinXP Pro/SP2 boxes and I'd
like to set them up so that user-specific files (local user profile stuff, My
Documents, temp files, etc.) are not located on the same disk partition that
holds the system files - i.e., the boot loader and the OS files. In other
words, I want to create (at least) two disk partitions where one partition
(~5GB) holds only the system files, and the other partition holds everything
else - user directories, program files, data files, temp directories, etc. Is
such a configuration even possible with a stand-alone WinXP Pro/SP2 box and
if so, what's the procedure for setting this up (any FAQs, TechNet articles,
etc.)? Tia...
