STORE A LOT OF TEXT?

B

Hello,
MS ACCESS 2003 on XP PRO.

A project I recently got will inevitably require me to store a ton of text
data in one field, one record. (I have though about how to store it in
multiple records and I am not a huge fan...)

How does Memo work with searching and so on? If I store my gigantic text in
a memo, what do I lose?

Thanks, it's pretty basic but I don't know.

You lose the ability to index, so searches will run more slowly, but most of
them will still take less than 10 seconds or so, depending upon how many
records have to be returned over the network. If you can add a keyword
field, you can index it and avoid returning anything but the records you are
looking for.
