Stopguard/WinFire Wall 2004 ads! Help me get rid of them!

I think this is causing the major problem with my IE - virtually unable to
use IE at all because of these ads. Maybe this is causing the problem with
IE closing on me constantly. Anyway, I have run Spybot, Spyware Doctor,
Ad-Alert & CW shredder and these ads still take over IE. What can I do??

ad-aware lavasoftusa.com remember to update before scan
and its free. also spybot is version 1.3 now
and it seems that it is not 'messenger' that would display
the ad's and crash ie.

I havent had any luck removing this one either. I put Ad-Aware on it's
full detection settings and it doesn't pick it up.
I ran a program called Hijackthis which prints out programs associated
with IE and the only one I found interesting was reg key
HKLM../Windows/RunOnce/tcpvb.exe. When I delete this it appears to go
away until the next reboot.
Using Mozilla Firefox will prevent this from occuring at all.
Unfortunately, sometimes I have to use IE due to some company ftp
restrictions.
Any once else have ideas on how to get rid of the StopGuard popups?

Mine did take the form of tcpvb, but it could be anything. I actually
had to try to remove it from the reqistry twice before the tcpvb.exe
file ever materialized. This is one tricky bit of spy ware. I'm
surprised more people have not gotten infected. Maybe they don't
realize it?
Anyway- EVERYONE USE MOZILLA!!!!!!!
