Stop Winword from opening in the background?

Do I really want Winword open in the background all the time? Can I keep it
from happening?
 
You would have to turn off using Word as your e-mail editor in Outlook. For
example and assuming you are using Outlook 2003, your steps would be to
start Outlook and select Tools > Options > Mail Format and then uncheck the
boxes at the top concerning Word.
