stop windows minimizing?

Hi
In my database I have hyperlinks to some word documents. When the user
clicks on the hyperlink and brings up the word doc. Access minimises. When
the user has finished with the word doc and closes it they then have to
maximise the database again. This causes confussion from some users as they
think the database has closed and try to reopen it.

Any ideas??

Office programs remember how they were when they were closed. Using MS Word
as an example, if you close down your PC[1] when Word is minimised, next
time it is opened,
it will be minimised. AFAIK, the only way to stop this is to ensure that
when Word
is closed it isn't minimised. This is probably what is known as 'a feature'.

I'm not sure why Access should minimise, though - it should just be behind
Word unless
there's some funky scripting going on.
