Stop Task being sent to Task Requestor when I Save and Close

Hello,

I have recently started using Microsoft Outlook 2003.

My problem occurs when I am sent a task and accept it. Then, if I
write anything in the body of the task and hit "Save and Close" the
task is sent to the task requestor (showing them the notes I have just
written for myself). How can I stop the task being sent to the
requestor everytime I save the task ?

Thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom

This Task Update sending has to do with the person who assigned you the Task
using a setting:

"Keep an updated copy of this Task on my Task list". The default setting is
at Tools | Options | Task Options.

If the setting in ticked on, every time you update the Task, the delegator
gets a Task Update. That way they know whether you are 10% complete or 70%
complete etc. It also means that they get the notes each time too.

So you can ask them to turn the setting off but there are downsides as they
then do not have an easy way ofknowing who they've asked to do Tasks for
them.
