stop right-aligned labels chopping off the end?

Something simple yet very annoying. I have a label with centre right-aligned
text anchored to the top right of a form. For the life of me I can't stop it
chopping off the last letter of the label text ( Putting in padding spaces
(or even non-breaking spaces) at the end is no good as it trims them off!!
Setting the label to autosize is also no good as it still anchors from the
left of the label (not the right as it should!)

any ideas!?

Weirdly, if I dock the label to the right instead or anchoring it solves
both problems!
