Stop Outlook 2003 from setting itself as default

How can I stop Outlook 2003 from setting itself as the default email handler
in IE every time I need to open Outlook?

I prefer to use Eudora and only use Outlook for exchange server email but
very rarely.
Problem is that just opening Outlook sets it as the default in IE without
asking me if I want to do this!

Any way to stop this?
