Stop Opening Word attachments in Outlook 2003 in Reading Layout

How do I prevent the Word attachment from automatically opening up in Reading
Layout when I open the attachment?
 
From Microsoft Word:

Tools, Options, General

De-select "Allow Starting in Reading Layout"
