One of the computers at work just gave me a Stop Error. It
then suggested that I reboot. I tried and got the same
type of error with "Boot Device Innacesable". Seems to me
the HDD croaked. However there was no warning. Just the
Stop Error. Is there any hope of retrieving the files?

TIA

STOP 0x7Bs are very common. Reboot the machine into recovery console and do
the following to swap the system hive to see if the machine boots normally:

cd system32\config
ren system system.old
systemroot
cd repair
copy system c:\winnt\system32\config
exit

Reboot the machine and see if it comes back up. If it does, recover
