Stop error after trying to install a cd/rw drive

I removed a CD rom and replaced it with a CD/RW drive.
After installing the drivers I can no longer boot my PC.
I am running Windows XP Professional. I get the following
Stop Error:
0x0000007E (0xC000005 0x805B8AF8 0xF9E4811C 0xF9E47E1C)

Cannot boot in safe mode either...
