and ONLY be able to browse ?

Whenever you "browse" the Internetm you are downloading files (text and
graphics) to the local Internet cache (aka Temporary Internet Files).

What you really want is to not allow an "saving" of downloaded files to the
hard drive???

So how do I do this ? if it will prevent him from downloading files (music,
etc) on to the hard drive ?

Perhaps a thing like NetNanny that can block sites from being browsed at all
(primarily adult sites, but surely it can be used to block any site e.g.
Kaza or those other music sharing sites etc ).

There's a skadillion out there and it would take forever to block them all.

Examine the options in Group Policy Editor (Start>Run gpedit.msc
[enter]). Look under Administrative Templates. Make your user Limited
and assign permissions and rights - including refusing the ability to
download - to him.

Password protect the administrator acct., any downloading will need the
approval of the owner.,,Jim

I think that will stop it, but if the administrator is left open, then
someone can access it and do pretty much as they please. And you can set
content and security in internet options from IE tools.,,,Jim
