stop date spliting across 2 lines

Hi,

I would like to stop a date from being split across two lines. If i type a
date, eg January 01, 2006, towards the end of a line, it ends up being split
up with January on one line and the 01, 2006, part on the next line.

How do i keep the date together so that it remains tied together on one line
only.

Regards ...... Ben

Ben,

Use a non-breaking space. CTRL+SHIFT+spacebar. You can also use a
non-breaking hyphen for numbers (e.g., 1-800-867-5309) CTRL+SHIFT+the hypen
key

Hi Greg,

Thank you for the info.

Is there a way that Word can be set up so that it recognizes dates as you
type them in and automatically converts your normal spaces to non-breaking
spaces?

Regards .... Ben
