Stop Access auto-suggesting increments during data entry (datashee

I'm entering numeric data down the records of a table or query datasheet
(i.e., not inside forms or anything). It may sometimes happen to represent a
sequence, but Access (2003) seems to anticipate this and 'suggest' an
incremented value in the next row. I don't want this. How can I stop it?
(I'm not talking AutoNumber here; they're regular numeric fields).

You can't. That's a 'feature' Microsoft added.

However, Access tables store data, Access forms display it (for add/edit).
You could avoid this problem by using the tool-as-designed, rather than
treating a table as a spreadsheet.

Good luck!

You can't. That's a 'feature' Microsoft added.

Just FWIW, after hearing the vehement protests this ill-considered decision
engendered, they removed the autofill misfeature from A2007.
