Still No Desktop...

Have a XP Home system with no desktop. Have ran the VBS
to correct the registry, removed any startup items in the
all users/programs/startup folders and it still boots
this way...

Even added a new user, same result (although with
differenct wallpaper). It's a "PowerSpec" PC and we
don't have the XP CD or we'd reinstall...

Any suggestions....

PC is at client site. If we do have process called
ACTIVATOR running, should we terminate it?... Not meaning
to get too far ahead what starts ACTIVATOR?
