Still desperate - spawn problems!

Hi there,
I have come back to you guys asd Jimco won't reply to me - anyone got their
number as it is not on their website?
I am still having this problem,
I need to open a Jalbum photogaller in a spwan window.
Jalbum works great.
I put all the links in - choose the window size etc via the span addin - in
design . the correcxt album comes up - but not in a window but as a normal
page size.
In preview - I get a message saying that the URL is wrong - I click OK and
the spawn windo pops up - but with no album. Inpreview in browser I get the
right page (JAlbum photo gallery) but no spwn window - any suggestions -
please help me to get over this hurdel then I can finish the websiet (it is
not yet published)

As an extra question - what are Frontpage devices like - are they worth
paying for? I would reallly like to have a decent navigation bar,

regards,
JacquieCC (a chocolate eating one at the moment - due to toal frustration
with this flippin computer!)

I don't think that's gonna work...why not just open the JAlbum gallery in a
regular new window - that might work.

Hi, yes I can do that and it worked perfectly - but there are descritions
below the photo which won't be seen unless I make the window larger - hence
spawn - I just think it would look more professional if the window pops up
and they can see everything they need to see. Is Spawn not compatible with
jAlbum? Is the fact that the album is an index.html causing problems?

thanks anyway for all your patience,

Jacquie

1. Have you removed all spaces from your folder and file names, as well as the code in your pages?

2. Have you checked with the author of JAlbum to see if can be loaded into a JavaScript pop-up
window?

3. This is a holiday week in the USA, so Jimco (and other small vendors) may not be available to get
back to you until next week.

I bought FrontPage Devices about 6 weeks ago. I guess in all honesty I have
5 things to say about it.

1)... I can't get a decent menu bar out of it. It's not 'flexible' enough.

2)... I am patiently waiting, as promised on Jimco's purchase pages, for
the next release.

3)... I am still using Anfy from www.anfyteam.com - even tho' I just paid
for Devices!!

4).... It's weak for the money as it stands right now. Hopefully the money
generated from sales of this early release will allow the update to be what
I would have liked the first version to be/do.

5)... The 'threatened' update/upgrade price - for when the next version is
released - incentived me to buy the current version with the promise of the
free upgrade in the future.

My Conclusion is that this has some useful features but was rushed to
market. The proposed price for the next release is gonna be questionable.
I'll have to wait for to see how much more it's been - worked on - before
deciding whether the price is fair or not.

I took the chance that the Update/Upgrade would be worth the price of the
first release!!

The PowerEdit sure works well tho'!

What does FrontPage Devices have to do with Jimco, which doesn't sell any of his add-ins.

Did I do something wrong by answering the question?

JIMCO Software

Two clarifications. The OP sent an e-mail to me on Sunday morning and was
quite upset by Monday morning that no one had responded. I did respond and
resolved the issue at that time.

Regarding the above statement about FrontPage Devices, I have no "purchase
pages" for that product. JIMCO Software is in no way involved in the release
of FrontPage Devices. I do link to their page occasionally in newsletters,
but I am not involved with that product and the purchase pages for it are
not mine.
