Still a field with #Name? though every control has been renamed

Another thing...
When open the main linked table, and if I try to add a new record, the
date field contains #Name? and all other fields are empty. The default
value for these date fields are, Now()

I have refreshen the links with no change. Even created a new
database, with no change either.

Hope this info helps

Delete the link, compact the database, and then re-create the link from scratch. Don't just try
to refresh the link.
