Can someone tell me what you use sticky keys for? How do you turn them on?
Off? Thanks, Loretta

Lorretta,

They are an accessibility feauture. Instead of pressing
say CTRL+a to select all, with sticky keys you would press
CTRL then a. Open your Control Panel
(Start>Settings>Control Panel) then click on sticky keys
to more information and how to set up and use.

They're one of the 'Accessibility Options' to make typing easier for people
with physical difficulties. Instead of having to hold Ctrl, Alt, or Shift
while simultaneously pressing another key, it lets you press and release
them and then press the other key.

I believe the shortcut for Sticky Keys -- pressing the Shift key five times
in a row -- is turned on by default. If not, then go to Start menu > Control
Panel > Accessibility Options > Settings and check the box for 'Use
shortcut'. If you never want to use them, clear the box.

There are a couple of other accessibility options in that dialog you might
want to look at, either to use or to disable their shortcuts. For more
information, go to Start menu > Help and look for 'accessibility' and then
'configuring accessibility options'.
