status bar in modal windows

Hi,

I opening an application in IE through IP address for all modal dialog
boxes a status bar is displayed even if the attribute "status" is set
to "no". This works fine if application is opened through system name.

Can any one help me out in removing the "status" from the modal dialog
boxes when an application is opened using IP address.
