Status/Alert for Networks...

Hi,

I want to write a simple VB.net applet that will show a status alert, like
green if the CPU was pinged successfully, and yellow if not 100% pingable ,
and red for not at all.


Where can I find the "animated" round balls (gif's) that are somewhat
animated that will twinkle or sparke...?

I would start with a search on google or yahoo images. Search for
something like "animated gif red light" or something similar.

The other, more fun (imo), approach is to create your own animated
gif. I use Paint .Net to draw the various frames and then use either
Microsoft GIF Animator or the simpler to use UnFREEz utility. All
three are available for free on the internet - just use google to find
the download site(s).
