hello,

I know you remotely can shutdown a PC using the SHUTDOWN.EXE in windows XP.

Now I wonder, is there a STARTUP command.

thx,

Not unless you have a way to remotely power up the machine.
On some machines you can set it to "turn on" with a
telephone call to the modem or a network card access but in
those cases the machine is not totally turned off but is in
a "sleep" mode since there is power to the motherboard to
keep the modem or NIC able to sense the input.

You can issue a startup command from within Windows XP. But you obviously
can't issue a Startup command in Windows XP, since if you were already in
Windows XP to issue the command, you wouldn't need to start it.
