myi recently installed a clean version of xp professional on my 450mhz 128 mb ram pc. it worked fine the first few times but now it stalls on the"winsows is starting up" for about 3 minutes and loads windows without the task bar along the bottom.most programs and files are innaccessible as a result. i think it maybe due to a collision with 1 of the programs installed (possibly roxio cd creator)..any1 have any suggestion?cheers!

Hi,

Troubleshoot from Safe mode. Hit F8 at startup to access the boot options.
Then use the steps here:

How to Troubleshoot By Using the Msconfig Utility in Windows XP [Q310560]
