Startup message

Using Windows XP, upon bootup. The annoying message is, on the left
bottom side of the screen it would show, "V3.04" and on the right bottom side
of the screen it would show this actual selection of message,
"(ESC=Boot Menu) (F1=Setup) (F10=System Recovery)". How can I get rid of this,
and solve this problem properly. Please help. Thank you in advance. Larry

Hi Larry,

Hit F1 when that screen shows up, then look in here for something about
"boot time diagnostics" and disable it. Exit saving changes (usually F10).
Then it should return to just HP's splash screen showing at power-on. You
may want to write those access instructions down, as someday you might need
them.
