Startup Delay 1 min

I am using Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2.
My machine is P4 3.2ghz 512Ram.

I have a problem when I start my computer.
The screen will say "Windows is Starting Up" and will stay there for exactly
1 minuite. This is very strange! My computer was experiencing this problem
prior to the SP2 update........hoping it would fix itself. When starting in
safemode, it still happens. I am already using

Look into Even Viewer System Logs. If the Windows Image Acquisition
Service failed to start, then if you have a scanner permanently
connected, disconnect it until after boot. Otherwise try disabling the
WIA service.

Scanner is a program or the machine? I do not have a scanner.

Control panel, Administrative tools, Event Viewer and Administrative
Tools, Services gets you there.

Ok I was able to view it.
It was enabled so I disabled it.
Everytime I boot, it is still 1 minuite.
Strange!
Any other solutions?

I am in the Even Viewer and I can see alot of errors and warnings......
.......how do I disable them??

And how will I know which one to disable in the "services"?
some say "started" and the rest are just blank.

Still 1 minuite wait in startup.

please help. i am still experiencing this problem.
i went to the blackviper website and followed
the "safe" customized settings for the services.
yet my computer still stays at the "system is starting up"
screen for 1 minuite.

for 1min 20 sec every time.
