hello
does anyone knows what registry settings have to be changed or set or
modified
so that for a specified user can't see or access the Start Menu and also
they don't see the Taskbar? (they may only see my desktop shortcuts)
thanks!

Defcon31,

I don't think there is a registry setting (policy) to set no acceess for a
user to Start Menu.
However, there is a lot of registry settings (Windows and Explorer policies)
to remove many items on Start Menu. Check User Interface Settings component
first, + there are many more registry values known from XP Pro.

For Taskbar - remove right click (User Interface Settings component) and
turn on AutoHide for it. It may not bother user.

To completely hide Start Menu and Taskbar, you will need to write an app
that hides (ShowWindows(SW_HIDE)) particular windows in the system. From my
experience I can tell you that it will work perfecly.
