It appears livenote.exe is part of a Lexmark printer/device?

svchost.exe and spoolsv.exe are all ok.

In terms of do's and don'ts

DO have an Antivirus program installed - a GOOD one.
DO keep your Antivirus program up to date with latest definitions.
DO run anti-spyware scans regularly:

Download the applications mentioned in the first three links. Keep them
up to date and scan with them as regularly as you find necessary for
your browsing habits. I have clients who can pull off about 20 elements
of spyware a day or myself who pulls off the same amount in about a month.
DO update yourself to Windows XP SP2 - maybe not straight away, but I'd
be looking into doing it soon.
DO keep your system updated with Windows Update. XP SP2 has a nice
automated feature to do this effortlessly.

DON'T forget all the DO's.
