Hello,

Okay... so What I want to do is launch the printer selection window
without launching explorer.

I don't want to be able to have the start menu, and desktop icons, etc.

This is actually for Remote Desktop for some of my users; who i only
want to be able to launch Access and the printer dialog window.

but every time I execute the command to launch the printer dialog
window:
explorer
file:///::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}\::{2227A280-3AEA-1069-A2DE-08002B30309D}

it obviously launches explorer (which triggers the start menu and
desktop icons).

Is there an alternate way to trigger the printer selection window that
isn't dependant on explorer.exe?

Thanks,

Matt

I don't know what morons like you are doing but

explorer /e,/root,::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}\::{2227A280-3AEA-1069-A2DE-08002B30309D}

Will stop them changing directories by mouse.

Use access moron.

excellent input.

no where near a solution, but thanks for being a gigantic ass; I almost
feel bad that you can't edit your post.

maybe you should reread the original post, jerk off.

You say they only use Access. So use Access to set the bloody printer. Haven't you heard of Print Dialogs idiot.

Hey there, Johnny McHelpful strikes again!

Why would i be asking if that was the answer? Seriously, you must be
some condensending piece of garbage to think that the solution would be
that simple and someone who isn't as awesome as you are wouldn't even
think of it.

Anyway, not possible; they're using a macro. We can't modify the macro
to trigger the print dialog. The macros print to the default printer.
I have tried to reset the printer that Access prints to within itself;
but the macros only print to the default printer on the "system."

Davey, can you do me a favor? Please don't even post any more if you
don't have an answer. It's okay not to know something. Although this
little love triangle we've got going is really fun, it's not helping.

If anyone else has the ability to reserve themself from being a total
piece of trash, feel free to post your helpful tips. I'd really
appreciate some valuable input.

Thanks,
Matt

You keep asking for non existant things. Why would there be a non explorer dialog moron.

And you are a real idiot. A maggot who want to control other people. Why didn';t you say that before.

I gave you easy ways. But as is obvious with you last answer you have misconfigured the system for what you want. Perhaps they pay me to fix the problem you have caused by your incompetance. Set access as the shell moron.
