Starting Office applications

I just installed Office Home and Student 2007 on a new laptop running Windows
XP. The Office applications do not show in the Start screen or on the list of
All Programs. I can open existing documents but I can't start new ones? Any
suggestions?
 
This newsgroup is for questions about Microsoft Access - the database
application that is part of MS Office Professional. Your question might get
better response in a newsgroup related to Microsoft Office Installation and
Setup.

When you ran the install, did you tell it not to create shortcuts in your
start menu?

I'd suggest browsing for the files on your C drive and creating shortcuts in
your Start menu.
