Start Up

Does anyone know how to get rid of the following error
message on startup.
C:\Windows\System32\System32.exe
Windows can not find C:\Windows\System32\System32.exe.
Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try
again. To search for a file, click on the start button
then click search.

I must of removed something the wrong way but I don't
know how to fix it. Finding this problem will make my
Windows XP Home Edition back to it's original way.
Thanks,
RCA

System32.exe is not a Windows file - however, a number of viruses insert a
file called System32.exe into the System32 folder. Most likely, the same
virus also added a line to your Registry. Look in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run in the
Registry, and you will probably find an entry that is calling this file in
the right hand pane. Delete it, and that should take care of it.
