I've got several programs that boot up automatically when I start my computer
for example Windows messenger and Quicktime. I'd rather start them up
manually when I need them and not have them boot up automatically at start
up. If this is possible would some one tell me how?

Hi Taylor,

Yes, it's possible. Many programs will have this option in their own
settings. Check them first. Otherwise, click start/run and type msconfig,
then click ok. Go to the startup tab and uncheck the unwanted programs.

Go to Start Run. Type in Msconfig. hit enter or arrow. You'll see a start up
button click on that and you can check or uncheck what you want to start.
SAVe and restart.
