Start up programs in task manager

I have WinXP Pro. In task manager I have serveral programs that start
automatically, how can I stop them from starting when I boot up?
 
Right click the start button and explore. Go to the Startup folder and
remove the programs. If they are not in your username then they most
likely will be in All Users.

You can also try Start/Run..type in msconfig and press OK. Look at the
startup tab.
