Start up problem

One time, I had a simple command to type in the "Run"
command that would display all of the programs that
automatically start every time I boot my computer. This
was very helpful in eliminating anoying programs that I
do not want to start every time. Does anyone know what
the "Run" command is?

In the Run window type "msconfig" to bring up the system configuration
utility. Click on the Startup tab at the top and then you can check/uncheck
the entries you want/don't want to start with Windows. Only uncheck the
entries you understand.

Once you have done that you will be asked to restart. Once Windows has
reloaded you will see an alert telling you that the startup routine has been
modified. Check the " Don't show this....." box and click OK. Voila.
