Start up message "Cannot find the file 'copy'...

Hi,

When my WinXP laptop starts up, it displays the
message "Cannot find the file 'copy' please try a
different search and try again."

No problem once I get rid of this message. But why is it
there. I have tried searching Microsoft database there is
no reference. It seems that XP is doing a search
for 'copy' everytime it starts.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Please email direct

Greetings

1. Open Regedit by going to Start>>Run and then typing regedit.

2. Then do a find for "winshow" When any key is found, delete it by
pressing the delete key. Be sure to hit the F3 (Find Next) key after
each. There are about 10 or so that need to be find. Regedit will say
"Finished Searching" when complete.

3. Repeat the same step above, but this time search for "winlink"

4. After that is done, close regedit.

5. You will then have to search for the the .dll files stored on the
harddrive. Go to search for files at c: Then search for "winshow" and
"winlink" Delete any files that you find. (Im my case I did not find
any files named winlink)

6. Restart the computer
