start up and shut down

I have the following boxes that come up every time i log on - rectangular box
- heading is Windows installer - in the sub box preparing to install and a
cancel option

2nd box heading microsoft money -setup needs to close microsoft money
express and is unable to do so please close microsoft money express and click
retry if you're not sure how to close microsoft money click help - button
options retry and cancel

They wont close unless i end task - but they are then there at start up again

You need to check your start up locations and see if you can determine what
is going on.

There are a vareity of programs that will allow you to do this, a nice easy
one is Mike Lin's startup control panel.

Load it, then look for unrecognized applications.

You didn't mention if you have Microsoft Money.
