I dropped a household item onto my keyboard. All is Ok except that the
Start/Menu Task Bar has moved from the bottom of the desktop and is now along
the top of the screen. What have I done, and how can I move it back to its
rightful place? Thank you

Hi Tim, to move the task bar back to it original place, right click the task
bar and make sure the task bar is unlocked.if its unlocked click and drag the
taskbar until its moved to the desired position, then right click the task
bar and lock the task bar again.

got another 'option' for you...

btw /me isn't a tech...

mouse-pointer (MVP?) to open area of <start> bar, as i assume this is how u
meant; it reads <start> not <task>

open area... left click... drag to desired location...

not here long, only long enuff to cause havoc

hope to have helped

You click and drag from any empty area of the task bar. The task bar
shows what tasks are currently running.

There is no rightful place. The taskbar can be on any side of the screen.
It just depends on how you like to work. By default it's at the bottom.
Just drag it. Right click an empty area of the taskbar and unlock the
taskbar if it's locked. Then right click on a blank area of the taskbar,
hold it down and drag it to the bottom of the screen. Then go back and lock
the taskbar.
