Start Menu Fades INTO view - how to change that?

I just upgraded to XP/Pro/SP2, and the Start menu fades into view. How can I
get it to just appear normally (without fading into view)?

Control panel, display, appearance, effects... Or you can WinKey + Pause
Break > Advanced > Performace settings > Pick what you'd like :)
