Start Button Applications

Just out of curiosity, where is the list of applications that appear on the
start button kept? Is it a file? Is it a specific folder? Some of the
applications are above the line and some are below the line. Is that 2
separate folders or something else? It doesn't seem to be in Documents and
Settings\all users\start menu. Thanks for your help.

It is list stored in the registry.

try looking on your hard disc drive i think they you will find them here the
others are in the program files
i suggest you do not mess with them unless you know what you are doing

Right click on the button and select "Explore" or "Explore all Users".

Hi,

The two are: Pin To and Frequently Used Programs.
The former, you can also drag and drop.
The latter is the order you use programs.

Both can be cleared and/or disabled.
