Standby problem

Ive put a question on here before but i got no joy and the problem is really
annoying me. I have a laptop running XP home and whenever the battery gets
to critical i have set the computer to go into standby. However when it has
done this it only stays on stanby for a few seconds and then it comes back
on! does anyone know why? It also does it when i ask the computer to stand
by. any suggestions would be great

Ive had something like this before , and in my case it was due to a program
( and in my case a program relating to my remote control reciever) that had
been updated using the manufactures mose up to date driver .
so have you updated a driver for any hardware in your system and its worth
checking for any probs within your virus scanner and BIOS.
but as i said , its most probally a hardware conflict
see how you go one anyway....it mite just work
