standby option not visible

Hi,

I am not able to see the StandBy option in normal log off screen. I
have enabled the "Enable Hibernation Support" in Power Management
Settings and made the policy as "HomePC". I am using WinLogon.

Dear Bing,
Does it mean that even if there is a single driver which does not
support standby, the option won't be enabled. So how do I find which
driver?

In my case I do not see the standy option at all. It is not greyed.

It's either missing driver problem like GART and/or video driver.

Or some third party driver do not support standby.
In second case you probably know what custom drivers you loaded so you can
check their power capabilities from Device Manager.

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;304514

On new details tab you will see Power Capabilities for device driver that
you are currently viewing.

Hi Slobodan,

I found that there was a USB driver for which power management was not
enabled. In my slx file I have disabled the device and build the image
again. But still I am not getting the stand by and hibernate option.
Do I need to uninstall the driver and do the whole process again?

Thanks
AK

AK,

It is hardly a USB driver problem (they are usually power capable) specially
if you use MS drivers.

Do you have a Third-party GART and Video driver installed?
What video adapter do you use?

Regards,
Slobodan
