Standby Mode

Hi group,

I am trying to get my ETX board to switch to standby mode.
If I use xpepm -standby I get this response:
Error 1141: The system BIOS failed an attempt to change the system power
state.
The shutdown, re... -commands of xpepm work as expected.

Does anybody have an idea what I could have set up wrong?
Thanks
Franz

Heidi,

I never had XPpro on this platform. However, it worked with W98SE, if that
helps.

Franz,

There are some important differences between XP (NT core) and W98SE (W95
core) in kernel, hal and etc. You can't test the device under W95/98 if you
plan to use it under XPe.

If you don't want to install XP Pro on the device (may be long process) you
always have WinPE option (remote boot, CD-ROM boot, USB boot, etc.).
Try xpepm tool (or write your own application that will put the system in
standby mode) on the device under WinPE.
