Don't know if this group can answer this question or not, but if this is not
the one, then please suggest where I should pose it.
Is there such a thing as Single Sign-On as a consumer product?
That is, say you have a home user who has for argument's sake 100 accounts
that have user name and password. is it there such an SSO solution for
someone like him?
Thanks in advance!

How to turn on automatic logon in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=315231

Not really what I was looking for.
This concerns other websites where you have a User name and Password, not
necessarily related to logging on various users within the OS.
Say you have an account with bank, another with a investment site, another
one with a newspaper, etc etc. Is it possible to store that information so
that you don't have to log on every time?
I mean for example with a bank if there is no activity for say 15-minutes it
automatically logs you off. There are products of this nature for the
enterprise etc company, but what about the home user?????????

Windows and IE will do this for you. Click "Yes" when the box comes up
"do you want Windows to save the password"

Google reveals
http://www.google.com/search?q=password manager
Results 1 - 10 of about 17,200,000 for password manager. (0.07 seconds)

OK, so as in the example of the bank, when I return to that site it will
automatically recognize me and not have to re-log on my user name and
password?????
If this is the case, has the security become stronger or is there something
to guard the user names/passwords in said user's PC?

Would MSN Passport an example of SSO for the consumer market??????????
