Hello. I recently installed Office 2003 Student and
Teacher Edition on my PC. Now, when I try to open
Frontpage 2000, it demands that I put in the SR-1 Disc,
which I do not have. I have the original Frontpage 2000
Disc, but I have no clue where it is. I do not have the
money to buy the SR-1 disc. I see no reason to buy
things for a program that I have already PAID FOR. I
wish to see a satisfactory resolution to this problem.

Whose fault is it that you can not find your original FP2000 CDs? It is not
Microsoft's!

SR-1 is not a separate application or disk, it was an update to FP2000, and
your missing CD, is could be the FP2000 SR-1.

I don't think I need to buy an update to a program I
already HAVE. It won't let me install using the program,
saying I already have it. At the same time, it demands
that I use the CD for Frontpage, where I don't know where
it is. Thus, my only solution is buying it, and I am
strapped for cash.

Find your Frontpage 2000 Disc

You shouldn't have misplaced your FP2000 disk.

You've recieved many answers to your problem and you seem to think it's "not
your fault" that the disc is temporarily misplaced. Even tho you didn't lose
it on purpose, it is one VERY good reason for making sure you have all of
your discs kept in a safe place.

To you, a satisfactory resolution would be for someone, probably MS, to
offer to replace the disc for the program. Well, that's not going to happen.
If you haven't moved in the meantime, or had a larcenous housemate, the disc
should be around your home somewhere. Ever see the TV show "Clean Sweep" -
it's time to do your own provate, non-televised version of it.

Good luck and happy housekeeping!
