squares in document

I was working on a laptop on a word 2003 document when I moved the
computer slightly all of the sudden I looked up and my text had turned
into squares, Can anyone tell me how do I change it back?

If you've closed the document it may not be possible (even then, it
might not be)... But try saving it as RTF and as a Web Page.

You can also try opening it using the "Recover text from any document"
file type.

I'd be more concerned that this happened at all! I've never heard about
anything like this with Word 2003, but back in the days of 2000 (I think
it was) there was a problem similar to this. It was caused by a damaged
winword.exe file. The only way to clean it up was to remove Word, then
reinstall it. With Word 2003 you could try Help/Detect and Repair, but
be sure to have your CD handy.
