square grips on my clip art

Catherine

I got a picture file from someone that I am including in my Word doc. In my
doc, the picture has square "grips" instead of round grips (at the corners).
I can crop and resize, but I cannot rotate. In other words, the green rotate
button is not visible, but it is visible on the document that it came from.
How can I get the grips to be round so I can rotate the picture? Thank you.

In your doc, right-click on the picture, left-click on Format Picture |
Layout tab, and choose something other than Inline for text wrapping.

Thank you. That didn't work, however. When the picture is Inline, the grips
are square, but they are within the picture and are a darker color (like dark
gray). When the grips are round, it is like the center of the grips is on
the edge of the picture, and they are white. The situation I have is where
the grips are white and are centered on the edge of the picture, just like
round grips, but they are square.

Any ideas? Thanks so much.

Also, the email notification that comes to my email address has two links in
it that usually work. Today, however, they're not working. Do you know if
this is from some network problem, or if I have inadvertantly altered some
parameter? Thanks.

Hi Catherine,

What version of Word are you using/was the document created in?
