SQL Server 2005 Error

Please do let me know if there is a more appropriate discussion to post SQL
Server questions and I'll gladly do so.

I'm running XP Pro. I did some long overdue registry cleaning over the
weekend. The only negative result was with SQL Server. Upon reboots, I get
the following error:

"Your SQL Server installation is either corrupt or has been tampered with
(Error getting instance name.). Please uninstall then re-run setup to correct
this problem."

My question is where is "setup" located? I can't seem to find the setup
info. All I know is Microsoft SQL Server 2005, along with a few related
programs, are found in A/R P.

Any ideas?

How about asking in a MS group that has SQL in the title?
