There is no way to tell from what you've written whether your computer
has spyware, an operating system fault, or bad hardware. Most certainly
you should not download any unknown "tools" from the site recommended by
the other poster. To determine whether your computer is infected, go
through these general malware removal steps systematically:

http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware

Without knowing more about your computer, I can't really speculate on
what is causing your problem.

The First Question Of Troubleshooting: what changed between the time
things worked and the time they didn't?

If you can't do the work yourself (and there is no shame in admitting
this isn't your cup of tea), take the machine to a professional computer
repair shop (not your local equivalent of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad).
If possible, have all your data backed up before you take the machine
into a shop.

I agree. First thing I'd do is run a RAM test...
looks more like a H/W error to me than spyware

That site contains filth, porno, pirated materials, and more filth and

Anyone going there should be aware of the filth you create while
claiming to help people.

I have this same issue on one of my Windows XP machines. It is some type of
MalWare created by Saliar.com who also nicely replied to this post
([email protected]) saying to download their tool to fix it. Actually, he
probably created the first post with the question. I've seen them do this on
some Google groups. It's obviously a scam but one that I have not been able
to remove from the PC. I'm usually a peaceful man but if I could get my
hands on this SOB who is doing this I would fight him. I've wasted so much
time trying to get rid of this shit.

Does anyone have an idea of how to remove it? It shows as a security center
message in Windows XP (red shield in the task bar with a bubble with an error
saying click here to fix) when you click it it takes you to Saliar.com and
starts the downlaod of SaliarAR. Their bogus AV/Spyware program.

(e-mail address removed). Wanna meet somewhere so I can can shove my fist through
your head.

I did not notice the address or I would not have tried this site! I'd like
to fix an error without buying an expensive product just once --- spent so
much money for lousy or mediocre software now!
