Spyware and XP

So here's my problem:

I found a lot of spyware (junk) on my PC. I downloaded AD Aware and it found
hundreds of objects. As well, I uninstalled a bunch of programs via
Add/Remove Programs that I never installed.
After all this I rebooted my Computer. Upon logging into I quickly go to
"Task Manager" and I see a .EXE files running. ( I know which ones should be
running and which ones shouldn't)

The programs I previously uninstalled get installed again!

I'm trying to find the initial process that begins installing all these
programs but I can't seem to find it. Is there a LOG file somewhere that
contains EVERYTHING that happens upon logging in?

You should tell us what .exe file is running, then maybe someone can help
you. Try spybot as well:

Not a logfile afaik. But if you go to start -> run, and type 'msconfig'
9without the quotes), you can see a list of programs that are started
when you boot your system. In addition, StartUp CPL 9www.mlin.net) also
show that list very nicely.

In addition to AdAware, try Spybot Search and Destroy:

And to prevent Spyware, use Spywareblaster:
