Here's more info.

Once you have the program installed, open SpyBot, Select > Mode >
Advanced ( menu at the top, gives you more options ) then select the
"Immunize" icon on the left & Click on Immunize ( the green icon up the
top ) in the new page. Repeat this process every time you Update,
unless you get a message that everything is blocked.
Tick > Enable permanent blocking of bad addresses in Internet Explorer
& Select > Block all bad pages silently.
Select your download site.
Open Spybot Search and Destroy. After clicking the button that says
"Search for Updates" & the check is finished, you will see 5 items near
the top of the window, "Search for Updates", "Download Updates",
UniDo(Europe), "Show Log" and "Help". Next to UniDo(Europe) you will
see a "down" arrow. Click the "down" arrow and you will see download
site choices (3 in Europe, 1 in USA and 1 in Australia). Right click on
your selection to make it default.

That did it.

TOP: Right next to "search for updates" is the current source set for that
update.
Notice the smallish [down-arrow] next to it.
You've got 5-6 "streamers"
Europe1 never fails me.

I don't get it. Let me repeat: I click on "Immunize" and get a msg.
("Warning") saying "785 additional protections possible. Please
immunize". I get the uptdate and click on "Immunize" again, and again
I get the msg. ("Warning") saying "785 additional protections
possible. Please immunize".
Another "Immunize"button? I see only one (left, 2nd from bottom).

The button on the left only brings up the main Immunize window. On
that Main Window, top left. Read your screen.

I once had this, didn't seem to recognise that I *had* immunized. I
uninstalled and reinstalled before it got the message.

Read what is on the screen. All of the screen.

Are you being deliberately obtuse?
I've been using the program long enough to know how to immunise, and
had immunised many times before (and since). This one session(which
lasted several weeks) as I waited hopefully but unsuccessfully for
updates to correct the problem would not fully immunise. As stated
above, uninstall, reinstall, and the problem was fixed and has not
returned.

I was answering RT with that comment. I apologise for not clipping the
reference to you.
