My existing version (1.4) of SpyBot won't download any updates & their
website www.safer-networking.org has gone down.
Is this the end of SpyBot S&D?

Same here.
I'm getting "Cannot retrieve update file. Socket error # 10061"
Hopefully just a temporary problem with the site.

Seeing as their own website and all the update servers have disappeared, I
have my doubts that we will see SpyBot S&D again (but I've been wrong
before!), so, as well as Adaware & Spyware Blaster (both working OK) I'm
trying Microsoft's Windows Defender (Beta 2).
