A couple of days ago I downloaded SpyBot Seek+Destroy, then because of its 'over keen-ness' to block every cookie that came my computers way, I decided to uninstall it.But Im still having problems getting on certain sites because my PC wont allow cookies. Ive downgraded my security settings and even done a system restore but nothing works! Please help
Thanks in advance!

Cookies are controlled by the privacy settings which you would want to set at no
lower than medium. If the site you are trying to access is a known safe site
then you could add it to the web sites in the privacy page to override the
general cookie handling setting. --- Steve

--- info on cookies.

Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately even putting the web site into the 'acceptance' list hasnt worked.Im baffled.Oh by the way my firewall isnt active either.Any suggestions/ideas?

Did you happen to enable the immunize settings? If you did you probably have
to undo them before unistalling the program. If you use SpyBot just for
scan, it should not permanently block any cookies. --- Steve

I would first try to reinstall SpyBot and then immunize and then select
undo - it won't hurt. If that does not help, post your dilemma in one of the
Internet Explorer newsgroups where someone may know a fix other than
reinstall. --- Steve
